I was introduced to martial arts at eight years old to help me overcome a personal disability and extreme bullying, and it forever changed my path. Kids enjoy our birthday parties because they get to learn "COOL" martial arts tricks and what kid doesn’t love a party! The party begins with a special birthday karate lesson. Your birthday child will feel on top of the universe as they enjoy being a leader as the assistant instructor for the day. After the class, everybody will enjoy food and juice. Here’s the part you will want to have a camera handy for! Your child will then get to cut the cake with a SAMURAI SWORD (supervised of course)! How cool is that? Side Kicks Karate instructors are full of enthusiasm, excitement and know how to have fun. It will be one of the most thrilling and entertaining Birthday celebrations your family may ever experience.

Planning your children's birthday party can be a daunting task for any parent. Organizing balloons, gifts, and invitations adds to the workload. However, when you choose Sidekicks as your party venue, we handle the majority of the tasks for you. We provide the venue, organize activities, and offer an exciting opportunity for kids to experience martial arts. This unique celebration is sure to capture the excitement of other parents as well!

What all is included in the birthday package?
A birthday black belt they can wear for the day, an opportunity to help the instructor lead the lesson, break a real board in front of the class and cut their birthday cake with a real sword.
How long can we party for?
Parties are one hour and 1/2 of fun and excitement! Games, activities, and a karate lesson will be included but don’t worry — there will be plenty of time for cake and ice cream!!
Where are you located?
Side Kicks Karate has two convenient locations in Rome, NY and Whitesboro, NY, proudly serving families throughout the Mohawk Valley. Parents travel from surrounding communities to host unforgettable kids’ birthday parties with us.

How many kids for my child’s party?
We want your child to have a great time! You can invite from as little as 5 kids, up to 25.
Do parents get to participate?
It is up to you! You can join in if you’re interested; if not, you are more than welcome to sit back and watch.
